Designer/Artist: Bob Wiley
New!! From Designer Bob Wiley, a unique and beautiful Inro made with polymer clay and a Sweetbrier Studio™ Oak arbor mold. Note: An inro is a case for holding small objects. Because traditional Japanese garb lacked pockets, objects were often carried by hanging them from the obi, or sash. Most types of these tiny functioning holders were created for specialized contents, such as tobacco, pipes, writing brush and ink, but inro are suited for carrying anything small. Inro were made of a variety of materials, including wood, ivory, bone, and lacquer. The cord was made using a Japanese braiding technique called Kumihimo. The cord for the Inro was made to be long. The length can be adjusted with the slides in the back of the necklace. To see this opened Inro,
