| Penni Jo Couch wears lots of
hats. Wife, mother, grandmother, artist, designer, and sculptor.
Recognized as a gifted artist at a young age, she
received special training in school. Always creative, as a stay
at home wife and mother, Penni Jo put her talents to work earning
extra income in a small home studio while raising her children.
Her hand sculpted original PenniBears and other miniatures garnered a
wide range of collectors throughout the USA and Europe.
In 1989 her skill in miniature sculpting drew
the attention of the owner of United Design Corporation in Noble,
Oklahoma, who offered her a position at the company. Since her
children were now grown, she took the position as staff
designer/sculptor and for the next fifteen years, designed and
sculpted in nearly all of the company lines. Her successes
include critters in all sizes, both domestic and wild, angels and
gargoyles, crosses and spiritual gifts. Her designs and
sculptures have graced hundreds of products for home and garden.
Since January of 2004 her life has gone full
circle. She now designs and sculpts products in her new home
based studio, applying her talents to unique and beautiful designs for
jewelry, home decor and embellishments galore.
Currently Penni Jo is a member of the National
Polymer Clay Guild as well as a charter member and vice president of the Central
Oklahoma Polymer Clay Guild. |
