Instructions are for Paper Clay but Makin's Clay® or Polymer Clay can also be used.

SUPPLIES:

  • Sweetbrier Studio™ “Teddy Bear Picnic” Mold #1015

  • Hearty® Air Dry Clay or Paperclay®

  • Wooden bag by Provo Craft

  • Acrylic paint: Red, tan, black and brown

  • Brushes: medium size for box & small ones for the bear

  • Heart Flag button 

  • Blue Nylon Thread

  • Striped ribbon

  • Happy Birthday stamp- Endless Creations

  • Stazon® Black Ink

  • Double Stick Tape
     


Molding: Step by Step polymer clay molding instructions:
Molding: Step by Step Paper Clay molding instructions:
To demold, slightly flex the mold while using your thumbs to pull the part loose around all sides. Gently push up on the molded part from the bottom as you flex the mold to lift or tip the part from the mold.

DIRECTIONS
:


1. Mold one T-1 according to manufacturers directions. Allow to dry. Paint the bear as shown. Bear brown, paw and nose pad tan, eyes and nose black.  Allow to dry.
2. Paint the box red. Allow to dry.
3. Stamp Happy Birthday onto box in the lower left hand corner using Stazon Ink.
3. Attach the blue nylon thread to the back of the button using double stick tape.
4. Position button on box letting end of thread go towards the Teddy Bear’s hand.
5. Use double stick tape to secure the bear onto the front of the box.
6. Tie a bow using the striped ribbon and attach to the handle of the box.

This little wooden bag can be used for other holidays or events by changing the style of the ribbon and the colors.


1. Pink or blue ribbon; balloon with “It’s a Boy!” (or girl) on a string; white, pale pink or pale blue acrylic paint. Bear can be pastel color or very pale brown.


2. Crayon colors ribbon; balloon with “Happy Birthday” or "Congratulations!" on a string; and brightly colored acrylic paint, yellow, blue or green.


3. Halloween: Black or orange ribbon; “Trick or Treat!!” on the box; and black, orange , yellow and white acrylic paint. Paint candy corn on the box. Optional: Put a little mask on the teddy bear and a tiny sack in his hand.
